Choras Beach (Neiborio)


Location: In Chora. It is the second cove that "embraces" the capital of the island.
Special features: Sandy beach, with shallow waters, ideal for families with small children. Here is the Nautical Club of Andros, while in the port you can see fish shops and yachts. Organized beach, with sunbeds, showers and changing rooms. There are taverns, cafes, bars.
How to get there: On foot from Chora, or by car, following the coastal road to Stenies.

Location: In the east of the island. It is one of the two coves that "embrace" the island's capital, Chora.
Special features: Large sandy beach, exposed to north winds. Caution is needed when northerly winds blow due to strong ground currents. A short distance away there is a tavern.
How to get there: By car, following the road at the entrance of Chora, but also on foot from Cairo Square.

Location: On the east side of the island, north of Chora.
Special features: This is perhaps the most beautiful beach of Andros. Fine sand, small white pebbles, enchanting waters, plane trees just before the sand and a small river that ends at the beach.
How to get there: Access is quite difficult and is done by a dirt road that starts right from the village of Vourkoti. It can be accessed much more easily by sea, by boat from Chora

Location: On the east side of the island, between Chora and Korthi.
Special features: One of the most beautiful beaches of the island. With pebbles, deep and crystal clear waters and caves in the sea. The volume of the mountains creates shade in the afternoon. It is exposed to the north winds. This is where the gorge "Dipotamata" ends, with the traditional watermills. Several scenes from the movie "Little England" were shot here.
How to get there: By car From Chora, following the main road to Korthi, turn left to the village of Syneti and immediately left again to the beach.

Gialia (Back and Front)


Location: On the east side of the island, just after Chora, in the village of Stenies.
Special features: In front of Gialia there is gravel, as well as thick pebbles, while there is also a restaurant. At the back Gialia has a sandy beach. There are sun loungers and a beach bar. One can go from one beach to another by swimming.
How to get there: From Chora we follow the road to Neiborio and there we turn left to Stenies and Apoikia. In a few minutes we meet the intersection (right) that leads to the village of Stenies. We follow it and meet the front Gialia on our right. At the back Gialia we reach on foot, leaving the car on the main road.

Location: Right in the center of the west side of the island, in the area of ​​Stavropeda.
Special features: Beach with sand and shallow waters. It has rocks on the right and left and is considered good for fishing. There is a beach bar. There are sunbeds. Mines operated in the area from antiquity to modern times.
How to get there: Very easily by car Following the main road to Chora, in Stavropeda there is a fork on the right and immediately right again that leads to the beach. There is ample parking.

Special features: Sandy beach, crystal clear waters, a small and picturesque cove, ideal for fishing. There are a few umbrellas, while there is also a beach bar.
How to get there: By car Following the main road to Chora, in Stavropeda there is a fork on the right and immediately again on the right that leads to Chalkolimiona beach. About half a kilometer, before the end of the road, a dirt road on the left leads you to the Warehouses. There is space for parking.

Location: In the eastern part of the island, near the village of Arni.
Special features: Sandy beach with clear blue and crystal clear waters. There are trees that provide shade. A special "touch" is the shipwreck - a ship stuck in the rocks. It is not organized.
How to get there: From the road to Remata and Arni, after Remata you take the dirt road on the left and again on the left at the first fork.

Location: On the southeast side of the island, in the northern part of Korthio Bay.
Special features: The elongated stone rock that springs from its waters. It is not a big beach. It has sand and fine pebbles and its waters are crystal clear.
How to get there: By car the beach is located 10 minutes from Korthi. The last 300 meters are mandatory hiking meters, downhill. There is, however, a boat that can take you by sea from Korthi.

Location: In the east of the island very close to Chora, after Paraporti.
Special features: Inaccessible with exotic beauty. The sea deepens sharply and the seabed hides wonders, pebbles, large stones, swimming fish, octopuses running to hide.
How to get there: A steep path, near Agia Moni, leads to the turquoise waters.
